What's happening, Metuselahs?
I wanted to make a deck with Shattering Crescendos since I saw the card, but I can't see any particular and effective strategy, and I don't want to make a vile copy of Project Mayhem, so this are the results of some mindfuck probably useless.
In game:
Of course, I want Scout Youngwood and then Ogwon on the ready region, then support via Janet Langer and another FoS, thats a lot of pool in the ready region... and the obfuscate is very important in here, shall I add any Master Discipline: Obf?
How do I plan to get my VP
Shattering Crescendo is my way to send to torpor my prey's minions, and damage his pool via Fame and Tension in the Ranks. Also bleeding with Obf and Pre.
And my defense?
Narrow Minds is not a defense, but at least deflections are more expensive to the other players :P I may take also an Archon Investigation. Weenie bleeders with Crescendos, and rush with Members of the Entourage, Soaks and Majesty. Vote defense... negotiate the target of the SC?xD shatter the voters?

This will never work, but I want to test it!!
I like the idea of combining the Daughters and the Setites, and the offensive capabilities are quite good, but there are two things which bother me:
ReplyDelete1. The vampires (G5/6) you can choose from for combining these two clans are just ... bad. Clearly Followers of Set from group 6 are missed here. If one could add vampires like Black Lotus, Renenet, Halim Bey, the deck would be so much better ...
2. The defenses of the deck are non-existent. No bounce, no vote defense, no reaction cards .. but again from the vampires you can use from group 5/6, you cannot expect much more.
I love this combination of clans as well! However, I would play quite a different library:
ReplyDelete1. Shattering Crescendo seems to ask for Temptations. Damage title vampires and tempt them, so when you take them over (much faster than normal) you will have vote lock!
2. Make the vamp's (except Scout) anarch with Anarch Converts. You will tighten your crypt and be able to play Fee States Rant! This way you can get the total vote lock.
3. A little politics like Lily Prelude and Reckless Agitation will enhance your ousting power. Anarch Salon will help you gain blood and multi-act. This way, you might have space for some Anarch Revolts as well.
4. If you build it like this, go for 90 cards.

ReplyDeleteI just... completely agree, the fact we don't have any Group 6 FoS, and I didn't pack any reacion cards bcs.. you know, DoC are just blind and the snakes can't bounce so, straightforward :)

I also thought about Temptation, but I've never tried a deck around that card, so sending to torpor minions and bleeding would be easier for me heheh
The anarch angle, to make them Barons and have enought votes? That looks so good, also with Ferraille to get some more votes aiming for the lock.
But if I try the vote angle, I would completely remove the bleed one, and maybe (imo) I wouldn't have enough space to also pack temptations, but its a great idea, SC + FSR with Temptations :D
I am happy that you like my idea. Actually I think I am going to build my own version of it. I am pretty much convinced that this might be the deck where I can finally use my Agent of Powers...
